Created in 2009, the SME Excellence status is the most prestigious recognition of business merit in Portugal, distinguishing companies that demonstrate high levels of economic performance and financial solidity.

In the 2024 edition, 3 925 companies were awarded, distributed across various sectors of activity, including six Statutory Audit Firms (SROC). Together, these companies represent more than 125 000 jobs, highlighting the economic and social impact of the SME Excellence universe.

Regarded as an important reputational seal, the SME Excellence status reinforces companies’ credibility with clients, suppliers, financial institutions, and public entities, facilitating business development.
